So, today in class the students were reading an article about the guy in Waianae who was riding his dirt bike and got run over by the bus. Mind you, it was in my co-teaching class, and I was sitting and reading with half of my students. Here's the conversation between me and two of my SpEd. kids...
"Miss, was the guy SPED or what?"
"Um, no...it says SPEED was not a factor."
"No, SPED not SPEED! Was the guy SPED?"
"What are you talking about?
"He must be SPED, what kind of guy tries to slide under the bus?"
"Huh?"
"Who tries to slide under the bus? He must be SPED!"
"HE WASN'T TRYING TO SLIDE UNDER THE BUS! HE GOT RUN OVER!"
Student stops laughing..."Oh."
"You're so dumb, YOU must be SPED!"
Sheesh...and a video my cousin sent me.
