So here it is, the day of my cerclage. I think it's funny that my doctor explained it like this: When you were a kid, did you ever steal your dad's Crown Royal bag for your marbles or whatever? You know that bag, how you pull the string and it closes? That's what we're going to do with your cervix.
Sounds simple. I can't help but be a little nervous. This is the first time I'm have surgery of any kind. It's kind of scary going to Kapiolani again. I know it's a routine procedure and my doctor is the one doing it and I complete trust her. It's still scary.
Today I'm standing firm in my Lord.
